The Kensa Group, established in 1999 and headquartered in Truro, Cornwall, is a privately-owned collection of award-winning businesses. Their focus lies in manufacturing and installing ground source heat pumps, as well as owning associated underground infrastructure. Ground source heat pumps are renewable technology solutions that offer low-cost, low-carbon space heating and hot water for residential and commercial properties. To encourage widespread adoption, the government and energy companies provide significant financial incentives.
The Kensa Group comprises three divisions, overseen by an experienced Board of Directors:
1. Kensa Heat Pumps: The UK’s sole manufacturer of ground source heat pumps, recognized as the market leader by BSRIA annual reports. They provide products and technical support to plumbing contractors.
2. Kensa Contracting: Specializing in large-scale new builds and retrofit programs for social housing, Kensa Contracting utilizes ambient ground loop arrays. Their expertise has led to some of the UK’s largest residential installations.
3. Kensa Utilities: An infrastructure asset company, Kensa Utilities funds, owns, and maintains ambient ground loops serving heat pump installations. These assets are provided at no cost to housebuilders or social landlords, thanks to subsidy support.
Kensa’s commitment to innovation, supply chain support, and technically challenging solutions has positioned them as market leaders. Their installations consistently exceed expectations, delivering substantial carbon emission reductions and cost savings.
